Reflections of My Fall Semester Internship

This fall's field site experience was great! I liked it so much that I am staying for the spring semester :) I love the kids and their personalities that already show so much. I haven't even been with them for a full year and I have seen the kids grow so much. I have enjoyed being with the class and observing the way Mrs. Rowe runs her classroom. The things I could change that are in my control would be taking more initiative with the class and getting to know them better. By doing this, I will create a much better relationship with them and it will make a difference in the classroom. 

The Ideal Classroom

I think that this classroom in Lewisville is really great and I love the way the kids are all involved and working together! I would love for my classroom to have this kind of room, but I don't imagine that every kid would want to so I would give them an option. Half of the room could have desks and the other half have couches and bean bags. This could give the kids a choice and even if they want, it could become a prize for them doing something right. The classrooms that I have had with couches or something of comfort, I have gotten a lot out of. I think that kids would love that kind of room (Lewisville Classroom) because I know I would!
